Each week you will add one contestant to your fantasy roster. You can choose any contestant not already on your roster. Each week, the contestants on your roster will receive 100 points times the number of weeks they have been on your roster.
For example:
Let's say you add contestant A in week 1. If contestant A is not voted off the week you add them, you will receive 100 points for that week.
After week 2, contestant A remains in the game, you will receive 200 points for the week which is added to the prior earned points of 100 totaling 300 points for contestant A at the end of week 2.
After week 3, contestant A remains in the game, you will receive 300 points for the week which is added to the prior earned points of 300 totaling 600 points for contestant A at the end of week 3.
After week 4, contestant A is voted off, you will keep total earned points of 600 and you will no longer receive points for contestant A.
Also, each week, you may designate one contestant from your roster (your current week's selection is not available) as a “Superstar”. The Superstar earns twice the normal points for the week (provided they don't get eliminated that week). For example, if the contestant were to receive 200 points that week because they were on your roster for 2 weeks when you tagged them as superstar, you will earn an additional 200 points for the Superstar tag.
You can only apply the Superstar designation to each contestant one time throughout the year. If you put it on Guy Dudertwittle once, you can never put it on Guy Dudertwittle again.
To be plain about it, the strategy with your Superstar is to wait to apply it until shortly before a contestant gets kicked off, so you can maximize their point-doubling potential. Using it early won’t yield many points. Alternately, if you wait too long, your contestant could be eliminated before you use it. Thus, timing and strategy are key to the Superstar.
You are not required to designate a contestant. Most people won’t use any superstar designation in the first few weeks of the season. Use this wisely as this could make or break your season!
Lastly, you can earn 100 bonus points each week by correctly predicting who will be eliminated. You will only make one elimination selection each week, even if more than one person is being eliminated.
Note that the contestant must actually be eliminated to receive the points. For example, if by chance the contestant receives the lowest number of votes and the judges decide to save the contestant from elimination, then the contestant is not considered to be eliminated (since they remain on the show) and points will not earned.
Your selections need to be made before the elimination episode airs (usually Wednesday evening).

Payouts are as follows:
First place: 70%
Second place: 20%
Third place: 10%
In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker goes to the person with the longest contiguous streak of successful elimination picks ending with the final week. If there is still a tie, then the tiebreaker goes to the person who had the most successful (not necessarily contiguous) elimination picks throughout the course of the entire season. If there is still a tie, the tiebreaker goes to the person who added the eventual season-winning contestant to their roster first. If there’s still a tie, the tiebreaker goes to the person who earned the most Superstar points in any given week. If there’s still a tie, something is seriously messed up.
